Bellport Day Festival

Bellport Day

The Bellport Day Festival is held every summer. It promotes a strong sense of community in the Village of Bellport. Local merchants hold sidewalk sales and some even have booths within the festival area. Local restaurants provide ample outdoor dining. While dining, patrons can enjoy live music performed by various musical artists throughout the day. There are even rides and games for children, including a dunk tank, face painting, balloon art and pony rides!

As part of the Festival, the Bellport Fire Department holds their annual Craft Fair at the firehouse. The Bellport Day Festival is perfect for the whole family, and it is a great way to see what makes Bellport so special to those who live here!

Bellport Day

2021 Bellport Day Festival

This year, Bellport Day was back! Having been canceled last year because of COVID-19, a scaled back, but enthusiastic, Bellport Day was held on July 31st this year sponsored by the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, the Suffolk County Executive Office and Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella.

This family friendly event was a fun day for all ages. There were performers from the National Circus Project, a Craft Fair at the Bellport Fire Department, a Plein Air art exhibit by the South Bay Art Association and the Bellport Chamber, and Live Music performances by The New Students and High Tide.

This five hour event is always a highlight of the summer season and we look forward to a Full Scale Bellport Day being held next year for residents and visitors alike. Click here for photos taken at the event.

2019 Bellport Day Festival

On Saturday, July 27th, the Bellport Chamber of Commerce once again held the annual Bellport Day celebration in town. The weather couldn’t have been better for a summer event. The temperatures were in the 80’s, no humidity, blue skies, and a nice steady breeze finding its way down Main Street.

South Country Road, aka Main Street, was closed to traffic for this FREE, family friendly gathering. There was a petting zoo, pony rides, a bounce house, sidewalk sales, and a craft fair at the Bellport Fire Department’s Fire House. Entertainment was provided by The New Students, the National Circus Project, the Gateway Playhouse, the Stage Door School of Dance, and High Tide. All and all, it was a perfect day for a perfect event. Click here for photos taken at the event.

Bellport Day

2018 Bellport Day Festival

This year’s annual Bellport Day celebration, sponsored by the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, was held on Saturday, July 28th. It was typical July, hot and muggy, but that didn’t have much effect on the fun. There was lots of music, dance, a petting zoo and pony rides, a bounce house, craft fair, and booths staffed by local businesses and organizations.

As you can see from the photos, this year, Main Street was closed off to local vehicular traffic by Bellport Village Code Enforcement so everyone was free to walk around Main Street without fear of cars travelling through. Although a minor inconvenience for a few, closing Main Street made a lot of sense and made for a more relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking forward to Bellport Day 2019! This year’s Festival was bigger than ever with live music, dance performances, bounce houses, a craft fair, an art show, pony rides, a trolley car, and food specials at the local restaurants. It was a great day for the whole family. If you couldn’t make it, Bellport.com was there to video the day for you!

Bellport Day

2015 Bellport Day Festival

The annual Bellport Chamber of Commerce's Bellport Day Festival and the Bellport Fire Department’s Craft Fair were held on Saturday, July 25th. For the first time, Bellport Day was primarily held on Main Street in the center of town. Main Street was closed off at both ends giving Bellport Day the feeling of an exciting street fair. Activities for young children were also held on the Village Green in front of the Community Center on Bell Street and included pony rides and a petting zoo. There was live music, dance performances, bounce houses, crafts, art shows, a trolley car, and food specials at the local restaurants everywhere.

Adding to the festivities, the Bellport Fire Department held their Annual Craft Fair in conjunction with Bellport Day. There were venders of every type and lots of food prepared by members of the Fire Department. Once again, the Bellport Fire Department out did itself. Well done! Click here for photos from the day. Bellport Day Festival

2013 Bellport Day Festival

The weather couldn’t have been better for this year’s Bellport Day Festival and the Bellport Fire Department’s Buzzard Hook and Ladder Co. Craft Fair. These two separate events drew a lot of people to the Village and they all had a wonderful time.

Rather than drawing everyone down Bellport Lane as it has in the past, this year’s Bellport Day event focused on Main Street and Bellport Lane down to the Community Center. Our local merchants put their best foot forward with all kinds of specialties unique to Bellport Village.

The Bellport Fire Department featured their Craft Fair on the Fire Department’s grounds. Vendors of every kind could be found and the hot dogs were great! A lot of work goes into holding this event and the Fire Department should be proud of the result. Click here for lots of photos from both events.
