A New COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration Portal by Phone

If you know someone who has been having trouble arranging for an appointment for the COVID-19 Vaccination, or doesn’t have access to a computer, here’s something you might try.

Suffolk County has opened a vaccine pre-registration portal by phone. Suffolk County Residents, OVER THE AGE OF 60, can now register by phone and they will be contacted by Suffolk County when it is their turn for the vaccine. Please note that this does NOT take the place of the NYS appointments, and you should continue to try Walgreens, CVS, and the NYS and Suffolk web portals to make an appointment. Instead, it will get you onto a waiting list for an appointment so that you can be contacted when your turn comes up.

To use this service, FIRST try dialing 311 by phone. If that doesn’t help, try calling your local legislative office directly: Suffolk County District 3 Rudy Sunderman, at 631-852-1300, or District 7 Robert Calarco, at 631-853-4088.

It is recommended to continuously check back with the links as the system opens up and closes out frequently. Also, be advised that cell phone access has had intermittent issues; therefore, it is highly recommend you utilize a computer to make appointments. Any questions for Northwell phone the Northwell Vaccine information number at 844-919-VACC (8222). They will not schedule appointments but will answer questions and address any issues obtaining second dose from Northwell.

 

Vaccines - New York City:

Veterans Vaccines:

If any Veteran (65+ years of age) who registers with the VA, (or is already registered) using their DD214 to register in case not done already, may then call 1 800 551 3996, and they will receive an inoculation appointment with the VA Northport, at 174 Middleville Road, Northport, Bldg 5. Appointment will be given within one week or less.

Where to register, if not done already: VA Clinic, (must bring DD214, and fill out a form once there)
132 East Main Street Bay Shore NY 11706 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Just walk in with DD214 and if you try calling; the number is 631 754 7978. Recommend just walking in, versus calling.
