The Center for Environmental Education & Discovery, or CEED, is a nature center that inspires connections to the joys of nature through education and experience. CEED serves children, youth and adults through public nature programs and events, school and community-based environmental education, conservation projects, live animal ambassadors and more!

The Brookhaven Town Board, along with the County and Post-Morrow Foundation, has approved an agreement to let CEED operate their Center out of the Washington Lodge property on South Country Road in Brookhaven Hamlet. In return, CEED will improve and care for the property.

Founded by Rebecca Muellers and Eric Powers, CEED will provide an invaluable environmental education resource for our Long Island Community. It will highlight our rich local history, artistic culture and the nature of the Brookhaven Hamlet area.
