Make plans to join Playcrafters Theatre Company for their Spring production of Ken Ludwig's "The Fox on the Fairway." This hilarious show will be directed by Flo Federman and will run for two weekends: May 13th-15th and May 20th-22nd at the Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area, 471 Atlantic Ave, Bellport. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm.

Playcrafters Theatre Company has decided to re-evaluate its COVID policy. We will no longer require proof of vaccination, but we will expect masks to be worn in the theater at all times.

A tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, The Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it's a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers' classics.

Set amid the leafy greens of Quail Valley Country Club, Ken Ludwig's The Fox on the Fairway unfolds on the day Quail Valley faces its oldest rival, nearby Crouching Squirrel Golf and Racquet Club, for the golf tournament of the decade. Battle lines are drawn when the two clubs, like Greece and Troy, assemble their bravest heroes and play on to the final, madcap putt on an 18th hole that is the stuff of legend.
