the "HOG," Hamlet Organic Garden, in Brookhaven!
The list will change weekly depending on
what is in season, but just some of the items

collards, zucchini both yellow and green, beets, onions, red and yellow, cucumbers,
and herbs.
We receive new items from the "HOG" on Fridays
so you can give us a call at 286-9774 to see
what's available. Or, if you'd like, you can
give us a call and we'll be glad to put together
a Special Order for you that it will be ready
for you to pick up.

Yoga...
The word
yoga comes from the Sanskrit word yug, which means “to
unite” or “Make Whole.” Yoga is an ancient art and science
of self healing. The approach is a wholistic one, uniting
body, mind and spirit. Its is meditation in action. 
The practice of yoga is an eight limbed path. In our classes
we teach the asanas, the third
limb of yoga, which is the practice of physical postures to
develop strength, flexibility and balance through an
emphasis on alignment and movement of breath. Its effects
are both nourishing and restorative. The closer one brings
the mind to perfect stillness the more clearly one sees
one’s own true nature. This is yoga.
We have been offering yoga classes here in the
Bellport/Brookhaven area for about 15 years. Our classes are
in informed by our teachers, all of whom have been students
of the great 20th century Master of Hatha Yoga, B.K.S.
Iyengar. In 1993 we had the opportunity to study with Mr.
Iyengar on one of his rare visits
to this country. The power of his teaching still stays with
us. His untiring demand of detailed alignment combined with
the compassionate use of props to enable anybody to
experience the power of yoga continues to inspire us.
